Whirlwind Weekend and Week Thus Far!

Well, we had a whirlwind of a weekend, but much got accomplished!

We had to make a trip down to Cobourg to finalize all the remaining details for the wedding. This included following up with all our services, meeting with my Aunt who is in charge of the decorating, - Thank You So Much Auntie Debbie! - confirm the head count, go over list after list of details, etc. We also had to have our pre wedding "counseling" with the Reverend. Luckily it went very well with little pain - lol - and didn't take too long. I think Greg and I sat with him for about an hour.

So far this week I have been getting the "little" things together and ready to go. I have been finishing up our give away gifts and place cards. I messed up on the printing for some of them. Thank God for Melissa being able to make some new ones up last minute! I tell you, I don't know where I would be without her! -*sighs*- I have also been TRYING to go over all the music selections and come to some sort of an agreement with Greg... No, hip hop and rap are not appropriate first dance songs. - SHEESH! -

I am sitting here thinking of all the little things that still have to be done and all the crap we are going to have to pack into the truck to take out to Cobourg with us and I am not liking it. MAN! Is that going to be a fun time trying to pack the truck with all our "stuff". Not to mention all the people we have to play TAXI to.

Oh well, I guess it's all worth it in the end and you only do it once, right?!?

THE HUSBAND STORE

I got this in an email this morning and thought it was kinda cute and would be fun to share:

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

A store that sells new husbands has opened in New York City , where a woman may go to choose a husband. Among the instructions at the entrance is a description of how the store operates:

You may visit this store ONLY ONCE! There are six floors and the value of the products increase as the shopper ascends the flights. The shopper may choose any item fro m a particular floor, or may choose to go up to the next floor, but you cannot go back down except to exit the building!

So, a woman goes to the Husband Store to find a husband. On the first floor the sign on the door reads:

Floor 1 - These men Have Jobs.
She is intrigued, but continues to the second floor, where the sign reads:

Floor 2 - These men Have Jobs and Love Kids.
'That's nice,' she thinks, 'but I want more.'
So she continues upward. The third floor sign reads:

Floor 3 - These men Have Jobs, Love Kids, and are Extremely Good Looking.
'Wow,' she thinks, but feels compelled to keep going.
She goes to the fourth floor and the sign reads:

Floor 4 - These men Have Jobs, Love Kids, are Drop-dead Good Looking and Help With Housework.
'Oh, mercy me!' she exclaims, 'I can hardly stand it!'
Still, she goes to the fifth floor and the sign reads:

Floor 5 - These men Have Jobs, Love Kids, are Drop-dead Gorgeous, Help with Housework, and Have a Strong Romantic Streak.
She is so tempted to stay, but she goes to the sixth floor, where the sign reads:

Floor 6 - You are visitor 31,456,012 to this floor. There are no men on this floor. This floor exists solely as proof that women are impossible to please. Thank you for shopping at the Husband Store.

**PLEASE NOTE:

To avoid gender bias charges, the store's owner opened a New Wives store just across the street.

The first floor has wives that love sex.

The second floor has wives that love sex and have money and like beer.

The third, fourth, fifth and sixth floors have never been visited.....

14 Days To Go...

That's right! There are 14 days left until THE BIG DAY!

I don't know where the time has gone. This wedding has snuck up on us really really quickly! It seems like just yesterday that we set the date.

Every is asking me if I'm nervous or have cold feet? The answer would be NO! I'm super excited!! I can't wait for the wedding day to arrive!!! It's only two weeks away and I wish it were tomorrow! LOL Well, maybe not tomorrow because I still have a few things to attend to and take care of.

For the most part everything is taken care of and under control. I won't lie, there still are a few things that need to be done and are beginning to stress me out, but it will all get done on time I'm sure.

My family and friends have been absolutly amazing at helping to get things done and pull this all off in such a short period of time. My Grandma has been my right hand and just done more for me than words can ever explain. She's helped me to keep my sanity through all of this! Melissa has been amazing and gone above and beyond the call of "duty". She is the best friend one could ever ask for. (((((_You're Awesome Girl & I Love You!_)))))

Wedding duties call.......
